A new place to treasure hunt!

I found a new place to hunt for vintage treasures and here is what I found today.

This August 1943 Saturday Evening Post came home with me and has some really neat ads that I plan to mat and frame and I might sell a few.camelsadpostbackad I love the Camel smokes ad and hey how about an ice cold bottle of Coke, only 5 cents!

The little oak table is now on my wish list and I am thinking if I sell my vintage yellow enamel table I can afford to get this one. sat-evening-posthill-top-mall-022

My favorite things

Every year I would help my aunt Ginny house clean for an elderly lady and this pretty little pink figurine always sat on the bathroom vanity. For nearly 20 years I would carefully pick her up to clean her all the while wishing I could take her home. Many years later my wish came true.pinklady

Just a few of my favorite things…

The little brown and white shoes were worn by my late brother-inlaw and the little white ones were my husbands.

My Vintage Dreams

I tend to spend too much time day dreaming. But oh what fun I have imagining that I am pouring a cup of hot cocoa in the Walton’s kitchen or taking a walk down  to Ike Godsey’s store on a crisp fall day wearing a coat and hat just like  Olivia Walton wears.

Some day I would love to own a 1948 Ford F-1 pick-up truck.

I can just imagine how much fun it would be to drive around town in such a grand truck.
